ASH

Arrival:

Approach altar and remove previous offerings. Take outside to be used by the earth.

Annoint forehead with Brighid oil saying:

I am blessed and purified and open for this rite.

Settling:

Affirmation of a TdB Druid:

A Druid is a Seeker of Truth:
     In all places
     In all times,
     In all ways.

Hallowing:

The purpose of this rite is to bring me into closer daily communication with the Divine. I perform this rite in order to recognize myself as a part of the numinous universe.

Light Brighid's flame saying:

I kindle the sacred fire
As the Lady Brighid would kindle
    As Breo Saight would kindle
As the Hearth Keeper would kindle,
In kinship and affection.

I kindle the Sacred Fire
As a beacon unto the Holy,
As a ward against the unholy,
As a flame of Holiness in my heart,
In strength and in faith.

OAK

Offering:

I bow before my Ancestors, may they be blessed (meditate briefly on ancestors).

I bow before the Nature Spirits, may they be blessed (bow to four directions, reflecting on properties of each spirit and quarter).

I bow before the Shining Ones, may they be blessed.

Invoking Brighid:

Hail Brighid, Spirit Mother of our Clan!
    Great Lady
    Exalted One
    King-maker
Bright Arrow, I call upon You;
Brigid of the eternal flame,
    Brigid of the sacred springs
    mistress of poets, healers and smiths;
I invite You to my circle; enter and give Your blessings.

Place offering in offering dish:

Kindred Spirits, great and small,
Hear the words of this, Thy child and Thy sister,
Bless me even as I bless Thee I pray,
Accept from me this offering as a token of my Kinship.

Acceptance:

Share food and drink with the Kindreds.

As I have offered, so do I receive,
Blessing for blessing, gift for gift.

Blessed is the giver and the receiver,
Blessed is the given and the received,
As it was in the beginning,
     Is and ever shall be,
     Life from life everlasting.
For all things are of the Divine
     Flesh of the flesh,
     Bone of the bone,
     Blood of the blood,
And of the Spirit Eternal.

Kinship:

At this point, share the blessings and trials of the day, offering them to the Kindreds and listening for any answer. End with a prayer of thanks.

FIR

Farewell:

General Thanksgiving Prayer:

I thank Thee, Kindred Spirits,
For Thy presence I thank Thee,
For Thy care I thank Thee,
For Thy gifts I thank Thee,
In friendship and affection.

In the name of All that is Holy, so be it.

Internalizing:

Dark of Night, and light of Day,
Lady Brighid, bless our way.  (3 times)

Retiring:

Blow out candle:

The Sacred Fire is out, yet forever does it burn in my heart.
